Hisuian Goodra V Star Original Lost!

Star Hisuian Goodra V is part of the Pokemon Lost Origin expansion pack!

Pokemon has had a great year so far; with the release of Legends: Arceus, the company was flying high. It was a breath of fresh air in the line of games from the mainline Pokemon series; it completely revamped Pokemon gameplay and was loved by fans for it. But it wasn’t the highlight of the year. Shortly after, Pokemon announce the release of the 9th generation Poklemon games!

Now that the era of Sword and Shield is about to end, the Pokemon TCG is trying to bid farewell to the era by releasing some of the best cards we’ve seen all year. The Lost Origin expansion highlights Giratina, and rightly so; we’ve seen Dialga, Palkia and Arceus get their fair share of exposure this year, and it’s about time Gireatina was in the limelight.

The expansion includes a beautiful card, the Hisuian Goodra V Star, which has always been sold at high prices in the dealer market. So we decided to do a little blog post explaining why the card makes such big numbers!

The Hisuian Goodra resembles its Kalosian counterpart; there are subtle differences, but if a new player sees them, they won’t be able to tell them apart, as the only distinguishing feature is their tails. The Hisuian has a giant shell on its back which is a nod to its snail-like qualities.

The Kalosian Goodra was also inspired by a snail but had no shell.

The Hisuian Goodra V Star isn’t the only Goodra card in the expansion; we also have the two different V cards, which are as beautiful as the V Star cards.

The Hisuian Goodra V Star shows what the Hisuian Goodra still looks like, and if you think that’s sad, then you’re right; the Pokemon is sad. Hisuian Goodras are very social, and if left alone they become weak, and that’s what the illustrator of this card, 5ban graphics, is trying to portray.

These may be small details, but they set the card apart in the vast array of cards we receive every few months!

At the time of writing this blog post, the Hisuian Goodra V Star is priced between $15 and $20, but the price may fluctuate depending on the site you check it out on and the status of the card. For a card in mint condition, you can easily recoup $20.

As the Hisuian Goodra isn’t much different from the Goodra we already have, it’s not the most popular Pokémon right now, and its price is low. You can also expect this price to stay around the same amount in the future.
