NY State Man at Taco Bell threw furniture, hot sauce at co-worker

It must have been quite a scene. Details are still a bit sparse, but officials say a New York state man has been arrested for an incident at a New Year’s Eve party at Taco Bell. WNYT didn’t say how that incident escalated, but the alleged confrontation not only led to restaurant furniture being thrown into the air, but Taco Bell hot sauce as well.

WNYT says an Albany man working at the establishment grabbed packets of Taco Bell 180 degree hot sauce and lashed out at an unhappy co-worker. It comes after the suspect allegedly threw furniture at the same person. The police did not specify what type of furniture exactly was used as the projectile, but luckily they missed it. WNYT says the 180-degree hot sauce actually caused burns to the victim after being splashed on it. Fortunately, there is no other evidence that other Taco Bell menu items were used as weapons that day.

The suspect was arrested by Colonie Police on unrelated charges and turned over to police in North Greenbush.

In other Capitol Area Taco Bell related news, you may remember this story from February 2020? Police say a 34-year-old suspect stole a Taco Bell and was later arrested at a nearby strip club. WNYT reports the Watervliet man escaped the restaurant with $340. But it wasn’t tacos and chalupas the unsub might have been craving. Police said the man then ran across the street to an adult club called Nite Moves in Latham. Either the man was hoping the dark club would provide a good hiding place, or maybe he was looking to spend some of that Taco Bell money?

It is uncertain whether the money ever allowed him to dance, as the police soon caught up to him and arrested him in the club.

What are the emblematic drinks of each state?
