Realistic Fantastic 4 Art Cast John Krasinski As MCU Reed Richards

All-new, super-realistic fan art imagines what John Krasinski would look like as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic in the MCU’s Fantastic Four reboot.

John Krasinski becomes Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic in super-realistic The Fantastic Four fan art. Ever since news broke that Fox’s library of Marvel characters was returning to Marvel Studios, fans have been eagerly anticipating Kevin Feige and his team’s plan for Marvel’s First Family. Now that it’s been confirmed that they’re going to be rebooted via a new movie from Spider-Man: No Coming Home director, Jon Watts, audiences have suggested who could play the iconic superhero team in the MCU.

It’s no secret that Krasinski is the fan-favorite choice to play Richards in the upcoming The Fantastic Four film, with his real-life wife, Emily Blunt, offered to play Sue Storm. The pair were repeatedly asked about the possibility, but they were always coy with their responses, saying they hadn’t been approached for the role. Despite this, the rumors, which are driven more by the public’s eagerness to see them in the aforementioned roles, continue to persist. These speculations have also been the subject of countless fan-made content, including this one.

Although the film is officially confirmed, very little is known about the MCU The Fantastic Four reboot so far. The project remains undated, which means it might not be released until 2024 at the earliest. That said, a recent update suggests it could be coming sooner rather than later as The Fantastic Four should be Watts’ next project after Spider-Man: No Coming Home. No word on that from Marvel Studios, but if so, casting for the film could begin soon. For what it’s worth, Feige has already said that they have a lot of news coming in the next few months, they’re just waiting for the right place to announce it. It is therefore possible that more details on The Fantastic Four arrive in the foreseeable future.

Whether or not Krasinski will play Reed Richards in The Fantastic Four is unknown. Marvel Studios has made a name for itself for making some unexpected choices when it comes to their casting, and for the most part, their risks have paid off. Given that, it’s not impossible that they subvert people’s expectations by not casting Krasinski for the role. However, given how many fans wanted him and Blunt to play Mr. Fantastic and Invisible Woman, not locking them in as said heroes could lead to a backlash.
